Regular Press Conference on December 31, 2025

应中共中央政治局委员、外交部长王毅邀请，巴基斯坦副总理兼外长达尔将于2026年1月3日至5日访华并举行第七次中巴外长战略对话。

At the invitation of Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar will visit China and hold the Seventh Round of China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue from January 3 to 5, 2026.

中新社记者：中方近日在涉台问题上采取反制和惩戒措施，中国人民解放军在台湾岛附近开展军事演习后，俄罗斯、古巴、塞尔维亚、委内瑞拉、津巴布韦、巴基斯坦等多国表示支持。中方对此有何评论？

China News Service: China has recently taken countermeasures and punitive and deterrent measures on Taiwan-related issues. Following the PLA’s military drills near the Taiwan Island, Russia, Cuba, Serbia, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and other countries expressed their support. What’s China’s comment?

林剑：自中方宣布相关反制措施和开展有关军事演习以来，数十个国家以各种形式表达了对中方立场的支持，指出台湾是中国领土不可分割的一部分，台湾问题是中国内政，反对任何形式“台独”，支持中国捍卫国家主权和领土完整，反对外部势力干涉中国内政，将继续恪守一个中国原则。我们对各国对中方的坚定支持表示高度赞赏。

Lin Jian: Several dozen countries have expressed support in various forms for China following its latest countermeasures and military drills concerning the Taiwan region. They reiterated their commitment to the one-China principle, opposition to external interference in China’s internal affairs and support for China’s effort to defend sovereignty and territorial integrity. They noted in particular: Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory, the Taiwan question is China’s internal affair, and “Taiwan independence” in whatever form must be rejected. We highly commend those countries for their firm support.

我们要再次重申，中方维护国家主权、安全和领土完整的决心坚定不移，捍卫祖国统一和国家利益的决心坚定不移，遏制“台独”分裂势力对外勾连、祸乱台海的决心坚定不移！任何在台湾问题上越线挑衅的恶劣行径都必遭中方坚决回击，任何阻挠中国实现统一的险恶图谋都不会得逞！

We reaffirm once again that China will never waver in its resolve to safeguard national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity. China will never waver in its resolve to defend the nation’s reunification and vital interests. China will never waver in its resolve to deter “Taiwan independence” separatist forces from colluding with external forces and destabilizing the Taiwan Strait. Anyone who crosses the line or makes provocations on the Taiwan question will be met with China’s firm response. All attempts to hold back China’s reunification will invariably fail. 

总台央视记者：据报道，日本、澳大利亚、欧盟机构及一些欧洲国家就中方在台湾岛附近开展军事演习公开表达关切。发言人对此有何回应？

CCTV: It was reported that Japan, Australia, an EU agency and some European countries have openly expressed concerns over China’s military drills near the Taiwan Island. What is your response?

林剑：这几个国家和机构对“台独”分裂势力“以武谋独”装聋作哑，对外部势力干涉中国内政视而不见，却对中方捍卫国家主权和领土完整的必要正义行动说三道四，颠倒黑白，混淆是非，十分虚伪，中方对此坚决反对并已提出严正交涉。

Lin Jian: China firmly rejects the wrongful statements from these countries and institution and has lodged serious protests with them. They turn a blind eye to the separatists’ massive military buildup attempts aimed at “Taiwan independence” and speak nothing of the external interference in China’s internal affairs, and slam China for its just and necessary action to defend sovereignty and territorial integrity. This is absolute hypocrisy and distortion.

台湾是中国领土不可分割的一部分。台湾问题纯属中国内政，不容任何外部势力干涉。台海最大的现状就是海峡两岸同属一个中国，台海和平稳定的最大威胁就是“台独”分裂行径和外部势力纵容支持。一个中国原则是国际社会的普遍共识和国际关系基本准则，是中国同183个建交国发展关系的政治基础，日、澳、欧洲国家与中国建交时就此作出了政治承诺。我们强烈敦促上述国家和机构严格恪守一个中国原则，停止干涉中国内政，停止纵容支持“台独”分裂行径。

Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory. The Taiwan question is purely China’s internal affair which brooks no external interference. The fundamental status quo of the Taiwan Strait is that both sides of the Strait belong to one and the same China, and the biggest threat to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait is “Taiwan independence” forces’ separatist activities and external connivance and support for these activities. The one-China principle is a prevailing international consensus and basic norm in international relations. It is also the political foundation for China’s relations with all 183 countries having diplomatic ties with China. Japan, Australia and certain European countries made a clear commitment to one-China when establishing diplomatic ties with China. We once again call on these countries and institution to abide by their commitment, stop interfering in China’s internal affairs, and stop aiding and abetting separatism for “Taiwan independence.”

彭博社记者：一个日本企业高管代表团推迟了原定于1月底访问中国的计划，原因是难以安排同中方官员会面。外交部对此有何评论？

Bloomberg: A group of Japanese business executives has postponed its trip to China, which was planned to take place in late January and the reasons they gave were challenges in securing meetings with Chinese officials. Does the Foreign Ministry have any comment on this postponement of the major Japanese business delegation’s trip to China in January?

林剑：我们注意到有关报道，也注意到日本国内有很多有识之士对高市早苗首相错误涉台言论引发的恶劣影响和严重后果深感忧虑。我们敦促日本执政者拿出实际行动，正视中日关系当前局面的根源，反思纠错，撤回高市错误言论，为中日正常交流创造必要条件。

Lin Jian: We noted the reports and also found that many visionary people in Japan are deeply concerned over the negative impact and grave consequences of Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s erroneous remarks on Taiwan. We urge those in the Japanese government to take concrete actions, face up to the root cause for the current situation in China-Japan relations, reflect on and correct the wrongdoing, retract the erroneous remarks of Takaichi, and create necessary conditions for the normal exchanges between China and Japan.

深圳卫视记者：发言人刚刚发布了巴基斯坦副总理兼外长达尔即将访华的消息。请问中方对此访有何期待？

Shenzhen TV: To follow up on your announcement that Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar will visit China soon, what does China expect to achieve through the visit?

林剑：中国和巴基斯坦是铁杆朋友和全天候战略合作伙伴。近年来，两国高层交往密切，政治互信牢固，务实合作深化拓展，双边关系保持高水平良好发展势头。

Lin Jian: China and Pakistan are ironclad friends and all-weather strategic cooperative partners. Over the years, the two countries have enjoyed close high-level exchanges with solid political mutual trust, deepened and expanded practical cooperation, and maintained a sound momentum of robust development of bilateral relations.

2026年是中巴建交75周年，此访将拉开中巴建交75周年纪念活动序幕。中方期待同巴方以此访为契机，进一步落实两国领导人达成的重要共识，加强战略沟通协调，深化各领域交流合作，开展一系列建交纪念活动，加快构建新时代更加紧密的中巴命运共同体。

The year 2026 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations. The upcoming visit will kick start commemorative events of the anniversary. China looks forward to working with Pakistan through this visit to further follow up on the important common understandings reached between leaders of the two countries, step up strategic communication and coordination, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various areas, carry out a series of commemorative events and accelerate the building of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.

东京电视台记者：日本参议员石平今天在社交媒体上称计划明年初访问台湾，并称本人被中国禁止入境，如果能够进入台湾，将证明台湾是与中国无关的“独立国家”。中方对此有何评论？

TV Tokyo: Japanese Councillor Shi Ping wrote on social media today that he plans to visit Taiwan early next year and that since he is banned from entering China, by entering Taiwan he is proving Taiwan is an independent country with no connection to China. What’s China’s comment?

林剑：这种败类的丑恶言行，不值一评。

Lin Jian: The nasty words and deeds of a disgrace like him are not worthy of comments.

中阿卫视记者：近期也门局势持续紧张，昨天也门总统领导委员会主席宣布全国进入紧急状态。中方对也门局势升级有何评论？

China-Arab TV: Amid ongoing tensions in Yemen recently, the country’s Presidential Leadership Council yesterday declared a state of emergency nationwide. What’s China’s comment on the escalated situation in Yemen? 

林剑：中方此前就近期也门南方局势表明了立场。中方关注也门南方局势，呼吁维护也门主权、统一和领土完整，希望各方以也门人民利益为重，响应地区国家和国际社会的促和努力，根据联合国安理会有关决议及海合会倡议，通过政治对话化解分歧争端，找到兼顾各方合理关切的解决方案，为早日恢复也门和平安宁创造条件。中方将继续以自己的方式劝和促谈，为推动也门问题早日实现政治解决发挥建设性作用。

Lin Jian: China has stated its position on the latest situation in southern Yemen a few days ago. China is following the situation there. We call for upholding Yemen’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and hope parties will put the Yemeni people’s interests first, respond to the peace efforts of regional countries and the international community, resolve differences and disputes through political dialogue in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the initiative of the Gulf Cooperation Council, find a solution that accommodates all parties’ legitimate concerns, and create conditions for restoring peace and tranquility in Yemen at an early date. China will continue to promote talks for peace in its own way and play a constructive role for the early realization of a political settlement of the Yemen issue.

总台中国之声记者：孟加拉国将于2026年2月12日举行国民议会选举，孟加拉国国内正全力筹备大选。请问中方如何看待本次大选？

CNR: Bangladesh will vote on February 12, 2026 to elect a new parliament, and the country is preparing for the election. How does China view the election in Bangladesh?

林剑：孟加拉国大选是孟内部事务。中方一贯坚持不干涉内政原则。我们相信孟加拉国临时政府和人民有能力处理好本国事务，走好符合本国国情的发展道路，希望孟方顺利举行大选，有序推进国家政治议程。

Lin Jian: The Bangladesh general election is Bangladesh’s internal affair. China upholds the principle of non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs. We are confident that the interim government and people of Bangladesh are capable of handling their own affairs well and pursuing a development path suited to their national conditions. Hope Bangladesh will hold a smooth general election and advance the country’s political agenda in an orderly manner.

彭博社记者：昨天发言人提到韩国总统李在明将访华，能否介绍此访更多细节？访问是仅聚焦中韩双边议题，还是会谈及地区议题，包括朝鲜、对日关系等？

Bloomberg: Just yesterday you mentioned the visit from the South Korean President Lee. Can you elaborate any more details on that? In particular, will it be focused exclusively on bilateral issues, or can we also expect some discussions regarding regional issues, including North Korea but also relations with Japan?

This concludes the last regular press conference of the Foreign Ministry in 2025.
